A causal linear time-invariant system is described by the difference equation

                y[n] – 5y[n-1] + 6 y[n-2] = 2x[n-1]

(a) Determine the homogeneous response of the system if x[n] = 0 for all n and y[0] = 2.

(b) Determine the impulse response of the system.

(c) Determine the step response of the system.

Problem 2

Filtering by a moving-average system

Use the A moving-average system (Page 35, Example 2.15) to filter the sound files:

piano.wav, alligators.wav, bird.wav

M2 = a experimented value that the input and output WAV files sound differently.
